New (Guest) Blogger

Hello, Everyone. I've been busy as always, and like always, my blog keeps falling to the wayside. I should really stop beating the dead horse on this one. In any case, I have a guest blogger, African Niña that will be sharing some personal life experiences that she went through in hopes that it might help other people going through similar experiences. She can take as many or as few posts necessary to get her message out there for people to read. As I said before, I welcome anyone that has anything relevant or helpful to the content on this website. My goal is to keep this place as free and public to the outside world as long as possible, and I feel that one effective way to learn about self-advocacy is to hear about it from other people.

Anyway, African Niña, as you can probably guess is from Africa. More specifically, Kenya. I'm curious to find out more about her life experiences, and I will let her post and publish at her own pace. I'm certainly not in a position to argue about timeliness.

The world is very diverse, and what we take for granted in our own culture may not be the case in other cultures. In spite of that, I feel that people around the world share many things in common, including personal life experiences.

That said, any content that gets posted or published on this website outside of my own entries, I will make sure to check for quality assurance purposes. While certain people in my life think that I'm talented at writing, I'm certainly far from perfect, and make mistakes myself. Being consistent and writing good, proper English is always easier said than done, but I try my best to correct any errors or typos that I make after I publish my work.

In other news, I'm thinking perhaps at one point, just like how I started doing with some of my posts, I may go back to older posts and start citing scholarly sources. If nothing else, this will show that I'm not pulling this stuff out of my ass (pardon the French). I'm not in a particular hurry to do this, due to everything else going on in my life, but it might be a way to make my website more impactful to people that may not want to take my word for it.

Finally, if I said it before, I'll say it again. Stay away from PayPal. I was hopeful that the government would be interested in investigating corporate fraud, but I was mistaken. As far as I can tell, PayPal got away with stealing over $1000 from me. Whatever is best for the stock index and the bottom line, I guess. The good news is, I'll survive, and I'll never do business with PayPal ever again. I encourage anyone else that uses PayPal to move their funds out of their accounts and do the same, but if that seems too much of a hassle, I caution anyone who continues to use PayPal to tread lightly. As I mentioned before, even if you don't get what you want by reporting incidents to appropriate agencies, you might make it easier for someone else in the future to get the justice they deserve.
